Southwest University is located in Chongqing, one of the five center cities in China. The city covers a total area of 82.4 thousand square kilometers and has a population of 31 million. The downtown area of the city locates at the intersection of Yangtze River and Jialing River. It is a famous city of mountain and bridge.

Southwest University is a high level key comprehensive university in China, a university included by the construction of “211 Projects” and Innovation Platform for Advanced Disciplines of “985 Projects”, with a history dates back to 1906 and covers an area of 500 hectares. It consists of 32 colleges, and offers 105 undergraduate majors. There are more than 3000 full-time teachers and over 50,000 students.
